We can’t discuss Ferris Bueller’s Day Off without mentioning the antagonist of an era. Principal Rooney gets a bad rap because he is the antithesis to Ferris’s boisterous personality and carefree approach to life. However, when it really comes down to it, Rooney was simply a man trying to do his job who got duped in his many attempts at catching a highschooler in a lie. Poor Principal Rooney. But at least he had some pretty awesome flip-up sunglasses.
